FRENCH FIREHOSE AUTEUR EXPOSED
Midnight Madness programmer, Colin Geddes (who is the secret santa supplying all those drool-worthy set photos from INVISIBLE WAVES) rings in to say that the choreographer behind the one bright spot in the mucky mess otherwise known as TRANSPORTER 2 is not Hong Kong action king, Corey Yuen, but rather the star of French sci fi action flick, BANLIEUE 13, Cyril Raffaelli.
Mon dieu! The French have stolen Hong Kong choreography and made it their own? Merde, Hong Kong is in trouble now.

Leterrier said something like this: "We were shooting that hose fight scene and Corey was late, so I simply choreograph and shoot entire scene myself... when Corey arrived, everything was done... when he saw the footage he simply replies "It´s really good". Sure this doesn´t mean that Raffaelli wasn´t on the set, just assisting Leterrier and creating that choreography. Truth is out there. ;) (sorry for horrible english, I´m not native)

Banlieue 13 Is F*CKING AMAZING.
Choreography is second to none. There's even.. get this.. a story line. Seriously. see it. then see it again. Only tiff screening is finished though.. sigh..

I'm sure there's a million different versions of what happened (FIREHOSE-GATE!) but someone who hosted Raffaelli at the Toronto film festival says that Raffaelli claims he choreographed it.
I think I'm going to throw my hat in the ring and say that I choreographed it.

I heard Donnie Yen broke into the set, started a fight with Jason Statham and Raffaelli, and then tried to choreograph the hose fight when Grady Hendrix broke in and SHOT him.
True story. Except not.

yup he did it alright. in the scene you can see him and david belle, co-star from B13 (who Cyril trained) getting whupped along with other members of their stunt team. the is a stuntman with over 80 credits and was van dammnnnnnn's stunt double on DOUBLE TEAM. that's the dirt.
