AN APOLOGY TO ANDREW SARRIS
Andrew Sarris is not Rex Reed, a lesson I learned the hard way in an article I wrote for SIGHT & SOUND that is out now.
The article is about violence in Korean movies and I think it's not half bad. But the half that is bad is that I attribute Rex Reed's ridiculous quote about OLDBOY to Andrew Sarris right in the first paragraph.
Mr. Sarris - I know you don't read this blog and probably consider computers a passing fad, but I'm sorry. You are not Rex Reed. I know that now.
Here are pictures of both men so that no one else makes the mistake I have already made. I am made of shame today.

At the top we've got Ragin Rex Reed and at the bottom it's Angry Andrew Sarris. This blog format has captions for most of the pictures but to see them you have to rest your cursor on the image in question and it'll pop up. Something I didn't know until recently. I worked hard on the captions for the ZINDA review, so check 'em out.

Now the fun thing would be seeing the 'letters' section of S&S; starting a debate over that. Hell, I've seen people start arguments over sillier things. ^_^
Anyway, nice read, I enjoyed it. I'll probably pick up my first S&S; in two years.
