DOG BITE DOG TRAILER

DOG BITE DOG is from Soi Cheang, director of LOVE BATTLEFIELD and HORROR HOTLINE: BIG HEAD MONSTER, and it stars Edison Chen and Sam Lee as a monstrous hitman and a sadistic cop out to get each other. It's shooting for a release later this year, and after watching a rough cut, I can say that it's a hard-hitting movie that's definitely not like anything else you've seen from Hong Kong this year. Forget slickness, forget cleanliness, forget kindness. DOG BITE DOG is like swallowing a handful of broken glass.

This flick raised a lot of eyebrows at this year's Hong Kong Filmart and we're very happy that Sameway Films are letting us host the trailer.

Hey Grady,

Do you have contact info for the person who would handle festival requests? This title looks interesting...

BTW, great NYAFF lineup, as usual. Hope to make it out there someday.

Holy moly, this looks so much better than most of the crap HK has put out in recent years. Good job, Grady.

Good to hear. Love Battlefield was a diamond in the rough.

Thank you, Grady. Hoping it will be shown in Venice.

Sam Lee said that the film may be rated Category III, I hoping it isn't true.

"I hoping it isn't true."

why?

I'm guessing because that would be mean less people would be able to see it in Hong Kong, meaning lower box-office. I don't think anybody expects this to do big business at the box-office though.

I think this will probably do better business than most of Sameway's other movies as it at least has Edison who is a big draw at least for the teenage girl crowd in Hong Kong.

If it is rated Category III, no teenage girl will see this movie in Hong Kong.

Damn....

Matt Chow (the screenwriter of DOG BITE DOG ) says that Cannes did want to show DOG BITE DOG, but the movie finally couldn't be shown in Cnnes. (It looks like it was because the movie wasn't finished.)

The trailer itself was soo intense !! Couldn't wait to watch the whole movie. I usually don't like Hong Kong gangster movie, but this one looks really good.

It feels strange to get excited for a film that has Edison in the lead. But the trailer was great and I simply love this director. I hope Edison's efforts and the director's talents combined will get a good performance out of him.

I am American. But I really hope the movie is brought to the states. At least in DVD form with English subs.

I love both Edison Chen and Sam Lee. Ever sense Gen-Y Cops. I am glad that they are working together again and on something that very much not like either of them. (or at least Edison)

I've never seen a more beautiful sight then Edison eating food of the dirty ground. I really can't wait!!

DEAR ALL
I saw the movie on the opening night and i was terrified by what a terrible plot it has. i see nothing wrong with blood and gore, but this movie is pointless and quite boring. I don't see why anyone would want to see this. NO BEST MOVIE at all. Cannes deserves better than shit movies like this.

I already watched this movie, yah it's really boring if not only Edison Chen was in it I wouldn't finished it. Well atleast Edison improves his acting here.
:)

“OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH My LORD!” “What were the director and the crews of this movie on, while shooting this movie?” Shiet, that's the most worthless movie I have ever seen in my life. To make the story even terrible, as a Cambodian, watching this movie, I didn't understand a single word they were saying (Supposedly they were speaking Khmer!) Shiet, my 5 years old niece speaks Khmer better than that. Why didn’t they just stick with Chinese speaking and pretend like the guy was from Cambodia?
Sorry, I’m belligerent but I needed to voice my opinion on this crappy movie!
If you need a good laugh, I recommend this movie....
