WO HU MOVES DATE

WO HU poster A sharp-eyed reader lets us know that WO HU, the Wong Jing-produced triad film that looks like a cross between INFERNAL AFFAIRS and ELECTION (a trailer is available) has moved its release date to 10/26, going up against Oxide Pang's DIARY instead of going up against Johnnie To's EXILED.

You can read a plot synopsis here. The film has two directors (just like INFERNAL AFFAIRS!) and it stars Francis Ng, Eric Tsang, Shawn Yue and Jordan Chan.

Man, I wish Wong Jing would just go back to producing movies where people fly around in the air either having sex with each other and shooting palm blasts around. Everything he does now is such a letdown. What happened with Slim til Dead? So much opportunity for sleaze and wackiness, and all we get is boredom.

When Wong Jing wants to make a solid movie he can do it. Color of Truth is a great example of that. Then again...that actually had a lot to do with Marco Mark co-directing that one. Is Marco Mak co-directing this as well?

Perhaps the good fortune of Color of Truth can rub on this one and hopefully be even better than that title.

Marco Mak is the main director of WO HU.

In fact, Wong Jing always like to produce movies without getting any credit. Wong Jing is the uncredited producer of THE PEEPING, but he is also the uncredited producer of THE STORM RIDERS, FULL ALERT, HOLD YOU TIGHT and YOUNG AND DANGEROUS series. (Wong Jing got credit in the first movie of YOUNG AND DANGEROUS series, though)

HOLD YOU TIGHT was produced by Wong Jing? I definitely had no clue. Very good movie, though.

yes. It i easy to see why he want to get no credit; because Wong Jing's name/reputation would turn away the main target audience of HOLD YOU TIGHT.

By the way, I haven't seen HOLD YOU TIGHT, but my friend had seen it; he said that you could see the name of Wong Jing's production company in the end credit of the movie.
