I'M A CYBORG AND THAT'S OKAY FIRST REVIEW

Cyborg The first English language review I can find for Park Chan-Wook's romantic comedy set in a mental institution, I'M A CYBORG (AND THAT'S OKAY), is up courtesy of Mark Russell.

He holds Park to a high standard and gives him medium marks for the movie, saying it's very well made but the story is nothing special. And he, rightfully so, takes Park to task for making lint-headed comments about how romance and schizophrenia go hand in hand.

Tell that to my schizophrenic Aunt Iris who was last seen eating her own feces out of a peanut butter jar. Mmmm...romantic!

Interesting thoughts, but seeing as how I disagree very much with the reviewers opinions about Parks' films (for example he claims JSA and Oldboy are his best films despite the fact I believe his best film is Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance) it really won't make me think much other than confirm that the movie is really a romantic comedy.

I think Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance is his best one too but then again I will have to rewatch the trilogy soon and review (I started to rewatch Lady Vengeance and enjoyed it more the second time around).
