JOEY YUNG: FASHION PIRATE
At Commercial Radio Hong Kong's Award show, Joey Yung earned the nickname "Roast Swan Lake" for her "Swan Lake" looking tutu ensemble, roundly mocked on the internet. But mockery turned to flat-out derision when it turned out the dress was a knock-off of a Viktor & Rolf dress. Yung claimed she'd seen it and been inspired to have her own made and said that next time she'll be smarter and won't copy it exactly. But still, the issue remains, a Hong Kong celeb is pirating intellectual property and refuses to apologize.
According to EastSouthWestNorth she's now an internet pinata.

She should sing a duet with Bjork in her award ceremony swan suit.

Nah, I think Joey and her dress would go better with Lara Flynn Boyle's ballerina outfit she wore to some awards event a few years ago. No fowls were harmed by either of these two creations.

They're both terribly ugly dresses. Though, both look quite similar, I can see the differences. All in all, both, attrocitites. Maybe next time Joey should be "smarter", and copy from a different fashion magazine.
